Iphiboë

Iphiboë, according to Apollodorus, was the mother of Augeas, king of Elis, by Helios. Her name means 'strength of oxen' (iphi, 'strongly' and bous, 'ox'). This could be simply a propitious name, but we are told that Augeas was indeed the possessor of a fine number of herds (which almost always produced female young).
