Hesione

Hesione was a daughter of Laomedon, king of Troy, and thus a sister of Priam. She later became the slave of Telamon, to whom she bore Teucris. Her name is not easy to explain. Perhaps it relates to Asia, the daughter of Oceanus and Tethys, although it is hard to see how. On the other hand, she was chained to a rock by the sea (a fate that happened to more than one hapless Greek damsel) and her name does contain a suspicion of eion, 'shore'.
