Laomedon

Laomedon was a king of Troy who was the son of Ilus (also king of Troy) and Eurydice. His name, appropriately enough, means 'ruler of the people', from laos, 'people' and medon, 'ruler'. If all names were as 'transparent' as this life would be not nearly so interesting!
