Pheres

Pheres was a name borne by a number of characters, including the son of Cretheus, king of Iolcus, and Tyro, and the son of Jason and Medea.

It must derive from the verb phero which has a number of meanings, the most general being 'to bear', 'carry'. Almost all senses of the verb are favourable, however, and have to do with producing and being generally progressive.
