Sinon was a young Greek spy related to Odysseus. He allowed himself to be captured by the Trojans so that he could tell them a false story about the Wooden
Horse, and thus persuade them to allow it inside their walls. His names means 'hurt', 'harm', 'damage' (sinon), which was certainly his objective.
