Sthenelus

Sthenelus is a propitious name meaning 'strong one', 'forcer', from sthenos, 'strength', 'might', 'force'. There are at least half a dozen characters with the name, including the son of Perseus and Andromeda who married Pelops' daughter Amphibia (or Nicippe), a companion of Heracles when he fought the Amazons, and the son of Capaneus and Evadne.
