Telephus

Telephus was the son of Heracles and Auge. His name immedi­ately suggests 'far shiner', as if contracted from 'Telephanes', but it is traditionally derived from a blend of thele, 'teat' and elaphos, 'doe'.

This refers to the account which tells how some shepherds discovered him as an abandoned baby being suckled by a doe.
