Who's Who in Classical Mythology
Oïleus
Oïleus was the son of Hodoedocus and Agrianome (a daughter of
Poseidon
) and a king of Locris. More importantly, perhaps, he was one of the Argonauts. His name seems to be a propitious one, and to derive from ilaos or ileos, 'gracious'.
