Plexippus

Plexippus was the son of Thestius, with another of the name being the son of Phineus, king of Salmydessus. The name suggests a richly caparisoned or decorated horse, from pleco, 'to plait', 'weave' (as in English 'complex' and 'duplicate') and hippos, 'horse'. This suggests a 'power' name or a royal one.
