Menodice was the
nymph who bore Hylas to Theodamas, king of the Dryopes. Here again we have the 'meno versus menos' decision to make, but perhaps menos, 'strength' is the one to choose, with dice meaning 'right'. Her name thus translates as 'right of might'.
