Oenopion was a son of
Dionysus and Ariadne. What other name could a son of Dionysus, the god of wine, have? It literally means 'wine face', from oinos, 'wine' and ops, 'face'. This can be taken as meaning 'liberal wine-drinker' or 'son of wine-man'. He winds up our short-list of 'winy' names.
