Triballus was the twin brother of Sillus, and one of the two Cercopes who made Heracles' life such a misery. (For their other names, see Sillus.) His name seems to derive from tribo, 'to rub', 'wear out', 'waste time', 'oppress', in other words he was a 'harasser' or 'time-waster'.
